Rav Ovadia Yosef

Rabbi Yitzhak HaLevi Herzog (1888–1959) was the first Chief Rabbi of the State of Israel. A scholar of Jewish law and philosophy, he previously served as Chief Rabbi of Ireland. Known for bridging tradition and modernity, he played a pivotal role in shaping Israel’s religious institutions and national identity.

Rabbi Yitzchok Zev Soloveitchik (1886–1959), known as the Brisker Rav, was a towering figure in 20th-century Torah scholarship.
